You ever feel like life moves so fast you can barely keep up? That’s how the last 4 months have felt and in turn it’s turned into neglect on my blog. My life has been filled to the brim with my last year of undergrad, applications to medical school, working part time, training my butt off at CrossFit North Fort Collins, and struggling to balance it all. Honestly this has been the most stressful semester so far only due to everything piling on top of each other. The unbearable weight of it all put me into a seemingly permanent state of stress, which of course I turned to food for comfort.
It was the comfort in the decadent meals, “Paleo Dessert” (you all know those aren’t better for you right?), or treats that kept me going back for more. I slightly turned back towards my binge eating ways and would somewhat lose control of myself. True some was for celebration, holiday or fun but I know deep down it’s time to return back to the fueling myself as an athlete.
Here it is. The kick-start and short little food challenge to welcome back healthy eating and bring back the right mentality. Join me with a little holiday challenge 12/2-12/25 of STRICT Paleo-ish challenge: no grains, no legumes, no sugar, no fruits, no nuts, limit starch carbohydrates.
